Accumulative Method Ion Sensor (AMIS)

Principle

The drain current flowing through semi-conductor will be determined by electronic density inside of the semi-conductor. The chemical ion change caused by biological reaction such as enzyme reaction will be transferred into semiconductor as electric field change. The electric field change causes polarization in semi-conductor, which change the current flowing through the gate channels.

Signal Accumulation

AMIS sensor stores the signal measured per measurement inside the sensor for amplification to improve S/N ratio, which realized high sensitive and precise measurement, while conventional ISFET sensor cannot achieve because of poor S/N ratio due to small signal.
